The 2021 Nobel Prize in Physics has gone to the United States scientist Syukuro Manabe and the German scientist Klaus Hasselmann, and — for separate research — the Italian scientist Giorgio Parisi.

The Nobel Prize in Physics for 2021 has gone to the United States scientist Syukuro Manabe and the German scientist Klaus Hasselmann, and, for separate research, the Italian scientist Giorgio Parisi

Syukuro Manabe and Klaus Hasselmann received the 2021 Nobel Prize ‘for the physical modelling of Earth's climate, quantifying variability and reliably predicting global warming‘. They will receive half of the prize. Giorgio Parisi, meanwhile, received the 2021 Nobel Prize ‘for the discovery of the interplay of disorder and fluctuations in physical systems from atomic to planetary scales‘. He will receive the remaining half of the prize.
